Authenticated file disclosure via collapsed traversal sequence
Published Oct 7, 2025 · Updated Oct 7, 2025
Path traversal in Dell PowerProtect Data Domain DD OS allows remote authenticated users to read files outside a restricted directory. Doubled triple-dot-slash input can collapse into ../ when traversal filtering removes unsafe sequences only once; Dell has not identified the affected interface or function. Low-privileged remote access is required, and the reported consequence is file disclosure without modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=7.10.1.0 <7.10.1.70
- Affected versionversion=7.13.1.0 <7.13.1.40
