Unauthenticated arbitrary file upload via missing type validation
Published May 17, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in Crawlomatic Multipage Scraper Post Generator 2.6.8.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to write files to the server. The crawlomatic_generate_featured_image() function stores attacker-supplied image content without validating its file type. No authentication is required; remote code execution follows only when the web server interprets an uploaded file as executable.
