CVE-2025-43858Public exploit

Command execution via unescaped cmd.exe arguments

Published Apr 24, 2025 · Updated Apr 24, 2025

OS command injection in Bluegrams YoutubeDLSharp 1.0.0-beta4 through 1.1.1 allows attackers to execute commands via crafted arguments. On Windows, YoutubeDLProcess.ConvertToArgs places untrusted URLs and option values into a cmd.exe command string without neutralizing quotes or command separators. The condition applies when UseWindowsEncodingWorkaround is true, which is the default and cannot be disabled through the built-in YoutubeDL.cs methods, so injected commands run with the hosting process's privileges.
