Remote code execution via unsafe model deserialization
Published May 5, 2025 · Updated May 5, 2025
Unsafe deserialization in Retrieval-based-Voice-Conversion-WebUI 2.2.231006 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code. The AudioPreDeEcho constructor passes the model_choose-derived path to torch.load without validating the serialized model. Any unauthenticated user able to reach the WebUI model-selection workflow can run code with the service process's privileges by supplying a malicious DeEcho model.
