Stored script execution via crafted SVG diagrams
Published Oct 8, 2025 · Updated Oct 8, 2025
Stored XSS in Liferay Portal and DXP affected releases allows remote attackers to inject script or HTML through crafted SVG files. Affected releases are Portal 7.4.3.18 through 7.4.3.111 and DXP 2023.Q3.1 through 2023.Q3.8, 2023.Q4.0 through 2023.Q4.5, and 7.4 update 18 through update 92; the Commerce diagram-product handler retains crafted SVG active content for later rendering, but Liferay has not disclosed the responsible function or sanitization failure. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and active user interaction; successful payloads execute in the viewer's browser context and can read or alter accessible page data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
