Cross-instance audit-event disclosure via unchecked company ownership
Published Sep 30, 2025 · Updated Sep 30, 2025
Authorization bypass in affected Liferay Portal and Liferay DXP releases allows remote authenticated users to view another instance's audit events. AuditPortlet fetches the auditEventId-selected event without comparing its company ID with the current permission checker's company ID. A company administrator in one virtual instance can therefore read another instance's audit records; integrity and availability are unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
