Stored script execution via translated rich text
Published Sep 30, 2025 · Updated Sep 30, 2025
Stored XSS in Liferay Web Content translation allows remote authenticated users to inject script through article rich-text fields. Translation handling stores attacker-controlled rich text without neutralizing embedded script or HTML before Web Content renders it. An account able to edit a web content article is required, and later viewing of the translated article executes the stored payload in a reader's browser.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
