Stored XSS via unsanitized Commerce Product names
Published Oct 8, 2025 · Updated Oct 8, 2025
Stored XSS in affected Liferay Portal and DXP releases allows remote authenticated users to run script in comparison-table viewers' browsers. The CPDefinitionLocalization name field lacked HTML sanitization, so the widget rendered a stored Commerce Product name containing attacker-controlled markup. A low-privileged user must save a crafted product name and another user must view the comparison table, enabling page-content changes and access to data available to that user's browser session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
