Server unavailability via StructuredContents API memory leak
Published Sep 25, 2025 · Updated Sep 25, 2025
Memory leakage in Liferay Portal and DXP StructuredContents APIs allows remote attackers to cause server unavailability. The endpoint leaves request-associated memory unreleased after each call, so repeated requests accumulate memory; Liferay has not named the retained object or function. No prior privileges are required; public assessments disagree on user interaction, and the bounded consequence is service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=7.4.0 <=7.4.3.119
