Cross-tenant order-note modification via model authorization bypass
Published Sep 22, 2025 · Updated Sep 23, 2025
IDOR in Liferay Portal 7.4.0 through 7.4.3.112 and affected Liferay DXP releases allows remote authenticated users to add cross-tenant order notes. CommerceOrderNoteServiceImpl checks a portlet-wide permission for the supplied commerceOrderId instead of the target order's model permission, so an ID from another virtual instance passes authorization. An account with order-note privileges in one virtual instance can therefore modify another tenant's order notes; no confidentiality or availability impact is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
