Contact information disclosure via unchecked entry identifier
Published Sep 19, 2025 · Updated Sep 19, 2025
Authorization bypass in Liferay Portal and Liferay DXP allows remote attackers to view contact names and email addresses. The Contacts Center widget trusts the user-controlled _com_liferay_contacts_web_portlet_ContactsCenterPortlet_entryId parameter to select and return another contact's record without an authorization check. Affected releases are Portal 7.4.0 through 7.4.3.119 and DXP 7.4 GA through update 92, 2023.Q3.1 through 2023.Q3.10, and 2023.Q4.0 through 2023.Q4.6; no authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is limited to reading contact identity data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
