CVE-2025-43795Network attack vector

External URL redirection via unchecked settings parameters

Published Sep 12, 2025 · Updated Sep 12, 2025

Open redirect in Liferay Portal 7.1.0 through 7.4.3.101 and affected DXP releases allows remote attackers to send users to external URLs. The System, Instance, and Site Settings portlets accept their namespaced redirect parameters as external destinations without restricting them to trusted URLs. Exploitation requires user interaction with a crafted settings URL; a successful redirect can support phishing or credential theft but does not execute code.
