CVE-2025-43789

Authorization bypass via direct OSGi class invocation

Published Sep 12, 2025 · Updated Sep 12, 2025

Incorrect authorization in Liferay Portal and DXP allows attackers to bypass JSON web-service access policies via direct class invocation. Affected OSGi services register implementation classes directly, preventing AOP proxies from applying the authorization advice enforced by Service Access Policies. Exploitation requires low privileges on an adjacent network and active user interaction; reachable service methods can expose or alter limited application data.
