CVE-2025-43788Network attack vector

Authenticated organization-name disclosure via unfiltered selector

Published Sep 12, 2025 · Updated Sep 24, 2025

Missing authorization in affected Liferay Portal and DXP releases allows remote authenticated users to list all organizations. OrganizationItemSelectorViewDisplayContext.getSearchContainer passes null filtering parameters to organization search and count calls, returning company-wide entries without a VIEW permission check. Any signed-in account can disclose organization names beyond its assigned organizations, with no reported write or service-interruption impact.
