Guest data disclosure via administrator permission context
Published Sep 10, 2025 · Updated Sep 10, 2025
Incorrect authorization in Liferay Portal and DXP affected releases allows guest users to obtain object-entry information through API Builder. ObjectEntryHelper replaces the request permission checker with one created for the object definition's administrator before fetching entries. Unauthenticated guest access is sufficient, exposing object-entry data that the guest lacks permission to view; no write or service interruption is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
