Stored script execution via unescaped field labels

Stored XSS in Liferay Portal and Liferay DXP allows remote authenticated users to inject JavaScript through Custom Object field labels. A label is stored without adequate output escaping and rendered in Process Builder's Configuration tab, where the browser executes it. Affected releases are Portal 7.4.0 through 7.4.3.132 and DXP 7.4 GA through update 92, 2024.Q1.1 through 2024.Q1.19, 2024.Q2.0 through 2024.Q2.13, 2024.Q3.0 through 2024.Q3.13, 2024.Q4.0 through 2024.Q4.7, 2025.Q1.0 through 2025.Q1.16, and 2025.Q2.0 through 2025.Q2.9; exploitation requires high-privileged access and active interaction by another user, allowing the script to read or alter data in that user's browser session.
