CVE-2025-43767Network attack vector

User redirection via unescaped redirect parameter

Published Aug 23, 2025 · Updated Aug 23, 2025

Open redirect in affected Liferay Portal and DXP releases allows remote attackers to send users to a malicious site via a crafted redirect URL. EditInfoItemStrutsAction passes the request redirect parameter directly to HttpServletResponse.sendRedirect without applying Portal.escapeRedirect. A victim must open the crafted Liferay URL; the resulting cross-site navigation can support phishing, but no service interruption is reported.
