CVE-2025-43757Network attack vector

Authenticated script injection via DDM definition parameter

Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated Aug 20, 2025

Reflected XSS in Liferay Portal and Liferay DXP allows remote authenticated users to inject JavaScript through a DDM definition parameter. Liferay identifies the DDMPortlet definition parameter as the input reflected into the response but does not disclose the responsible code path or missing encoding operation. Exploitation requires high-privileged authentication and a user to load the crafted response, exposing browser-visible data.
