Service interruption via orphaned attachment uploads
Published Aug 22, 2025 · Updated Aug 22, 2025
Resource exhaustion in affected Liferay Portal and DXP releases allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service through file uploads. Object-entry attachment fields create document-library file entries but fail to delete them when an entry is abandoned, a file is replaced, or the page is refreshed. Access to attachment-enabled object-entry forms is required, and repeated uploads can consume storage until the service becomes unavailable.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
