CVE-2025-43749Network attack vector

Unauthenticated file disclosure via retained guest permission

Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated Aug 20, 2025

Information disclosure in Liferay Portal and DXP affected releases allows remote attackers to read uploaded form files via direct URLs. UploadFileEntryMVCActionCommand stores each temporary form upload as a document-library file while retaining the Guest role's VIEW permission. Exploitation requires a guest-accessible upload form and knowledge of the generated file URL; exposure is limited to file contents, with no reported modification or service interruption.
