Stored script execution via Message Boards content
Published Aug 19, 2025 · Updated Aug 19, 2025
Stored XSS in Liferay Portal and DXP affected releases allows remote authenticated users to inject JavaScript through Message Boards. Liferay identifies Message Boards as the storage and delivery feature but has not published the affected field, code locus, or missing neutralization operation. An authenticated user must save crafted content and a victim must view it, allowing script execution in that victim's browser context and access to data or actions available there.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
