CVE-2025-4374Network attack vector

Repository Admin access via first proxy-cache pull

Published May 6, 2025 · Updated Aug 7, 2026

Incorrect privilege assignment in affected Red Hat Quay releases allows remote attackers to gain Admin access to a new repository. The proxy-cache repository-creation path records the requesting user or robot with Admin permission when an uncached image is first mirrored. Proxy caching must be enabled, and the attacker must trigger the first pull of an image that is not already mirrored.
