Cross-organization user disclosure via unchecked groupId
Published Aug 18, 2025 · Updated Aug 18, 2025
IDOR in Liferay Portal and Liferay DXP allows organization administrators to read user lists from other organizations via a crafted groupId. The Roles Selector portlet trusts the _com_liferay_roles_selector_web_portlet_RolesSelectorPortlet_groupId request parameter without enforcing the administrator's organization boundary. Exploitation requires organization-administrator privileges and exposes user-list data across organizations without granting user modification or broader administrative access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
