Service interruption via mishandled RRC packets
Published Jan 5, 2026 · Updated Jan 5, 2026
Denial of service in affected Samsung Exynos processors and modems allows remote attackers to interrupt service via RRC packets. Samsung states only that the L2 component incorrectly handles RRC packets and has not disclosed the exact parsing or validation error. Network access to the RRC interface requires neither authentication nor user interaction; the reported consequence is availability loss only.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
