CVE-2025-43704

Credential disclosure via unencrypted OneFS Basic Authentication

Published Apr 16, 2025 · Updated Apr 17, 2025

Cleartext transmission in Veritas Data Insight before 7.1.2 allows adjacent attackers to capture OneFS credentials over HTTP. The Isilon connector permits HTTP Basic Authentication over an unencrypted OneFS management connection, placing credentials in observable traffic. Exposure requires an Isilon deployment that accepts unencrypted HTTP and an attacker able to sniff the adjacent network; only credential confidentiality is affected.
