Encrypted-data disclosure via unenforced DataMapper permissions
Published Jun 10, 2025 · Updated Jun 11, 2025
Improper permission preservation in Salesforce OmniStudio before Spring 2025 allows remote attackers to read encrypted DataMapper fields. Extract and Turbo Extract actions omit field-level security enforcement and return encrypted field values as plaintext without checking View Encrypted Data. Exposure requires access to the underlying record and a Data Mapper with Check Field Level Security disabled.
