Stored XSS via unsanitized shortcode attributes
Published Jun 19, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Download Manager 3.3.18 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via wpdm_user_dashboard attributes. The shortcode accepts user-supplied attributes without sufficient sanitization and later outputs them without context-appropriate escaping. Author-level access is required to store the payload in a page, and the script runs when that page is viewed in another user's browser.
