CVE-2025-43595

Root command execution via insecure directory permissions

Published May 1, 2025 · Updated May 22, 2025

Local privilege escalation in MSP360 Backup for Linux 4.3.1.115 allows local users to execute commands with root privileges. CISA identifies the locus as the Online Backup directory but does not publish the affected path, permission bits, or privileged execution flow. Exploitation requires an existing low-privileged Linux account and yields root-level command execution, including access to backup credentials and data.
