Code execution via malicious-file out-of-bounds write
Published Jun 10, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Substance 3D Sampler 5.0 and earlier allows attackers to execute code when a user opens a malicious file. Adobe has not disclosed the affected parser, file format, or erroneous write operation beyond identifying a malicious file as the trigger. A user must open the crafted file, after which code runs with that user's privileges and can access or alter resources available to the application.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
