Sensitive memory disclosure via unchecked CFF2 vsindex
Published Jun 10, 2025 · Updated Jun 11, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Acrobat Reader 25.001.20521 and earlier allows attackers to disclose memory through a crafted PDF font. The CFF2 Private DICT parser accepts a vsindex operand at least as large as itemVariationDataCount, then uses it to read beyond the ItemVariationData array. Exploitation requires a local user to open a PDF containing the crafted OpenType font; disclosed addresses can aid ASLR bypass without modifying data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
