CVE-2025-4355Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Memory corruption via oversized API path copy

Published May 6, 2025 · Updated May 6, 2025

Heap-based buffer overflow in D-Link DAP-1520 firmware 1.10B04_BETA02 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via HTTP. The set_ws_action function copies the request path preceding a question mark into the 20-byte global ws_action buffer without checking its length. Authenticated network access to the management endpoint is required; the public artifact demonstrates the overwrite trigger, not code execution.
