Remote password disclosure during FaceTime control
Published Dec 12, 2025 · Updated Dec 12, 2025
Information disclosure in FaceTime on macOS Sequoia before 15.7.3 and macOS Tahoe before 26.2 allows remote attackers to view password fields. Apple attributes the exposure to faulty state management but has not disclosed which FaceTime state transition fails to preserve password-field masking. Exploitation requires an active FaceTime remote-control session, and the reported consequence is limited to disclosure of displayed password contents.
