CVE-2025-43532

App termination via Foundation bounds-checking failure

Published Dec 12, 2025 · Updated Dec 12, 2025

Memory corruption in Foundation in Apple macOS allows local users to terminate an app by causing it to process malicious data. Apple attributes the flaw to inadequate bounds checking but has not disclosed the affected Foundation routine, data format, or exact out-of-bounds operation. Exploitation requires low local privileges and user interaction, and the documented consequence is app termination rather than code execution.
