CVE-2025-43490

Local privilege escalation via unsafe link resolution

Published Aug 15, 2025 · Updated Sep 11, 2025

Improper link resolution in HP HotKey Support’s HPAudioAnalytics service allows local users to escalate privileges on affected Windows PCs. HP identifies the locus as HPAudioAnalytics and classifies the flaw as link following, but does not disclose the affected file operation.
