CVE-2025-43420

Local sensitive-data disclosure via Dock state race

Published Nov 4, 2025 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

A race condition in macOS Dock before Sonoma 14.8.2, Sequoia 15.7.2, and Tahoe 26.1 allows local apps to read sensitive user data. Apple identifies improper state handling but has not disclosed the shared state, competing operations, or data-access path involved. Local code execution with low privileges and successful race timing are required; the reported consequence is limited to data confidentiality.
