Out-of-bounds access in Model I/O in affected Apple operating systems allows attackers to terminate apps via crafted media files. Model I/O does not enforce the required bounds while parsing untrusted media data, permitting an access outside the intended memory region. Exploitation requires the crafted file to be processed; Apple documents unexpected app termination or process-memory corruption, not code execution.
