Kernel logic errors in Apple iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS allow UDP sockets to bind beyond a selected local interface. The kernel's UDP socket state management can replace an interface-specific binding with an all-interface binding, unintentionally exposing the listening service on other network interfaces. Reachability requires an application to operate a UDP server socket bound to a local interface; Apple has not disclosed the precise state transition or further consequences.
