CVE-2025-43282

System termination via Kernel double free

Published Oct 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 2, 2026

Double free in the Kernel in affected Apple operating system releases allows local users to trigger unexpected system termination. The Kernel releases the same memory allocation twice, corrupting allocator state during app-driven execution. Reachability requires local execution of an app; Apple reports system termination only and has not disclosed the affected Kernel path or triggering input.
