Arbitrary binary launch via improper input validation
Published Jul 29, 2025 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Improper input validation in Apple macOS before 14.7.7 or 15.6 allows attackers to launch arbitrary binaries through a malicious app. The affected AppleMobileFileIntegrity component accepts insufficiently validated input, but Apple has not disclosed the input, operation, or binary-selection path. Exploitation requires a malicious app already running on the Mac and can start an attacker-chosen binary on that trusted device.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
