CVE-2025-43229Network attack vector

Universal cross-site scripting via WebKit state mishandling

Published Jul 29, 2025 · Updated Apr 2, 2026

Universal cross-site scripting in WebKit in Safari before 18.6 and macOS Sequoia before 15.6 allows remote attackers to run script across origins. WebKit mishandles state while processing maliciously crafted web content, but Apple has not disclosed the affected state transition or code locus. A user must load attacker-controlled content; successful exploitation breaks same-origin isolation and permits script access across web origins.
