Authenticated ABAP replacement via unchecked function module
Published May 13, 2025 · Updated May 13, 2025
Code injection in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition SCM MDL allows remote authenticated users to replace arbitrary ABAP programs. An undisclosed remotely callable function module accepts attacker-controlled program content without input validation or an authorization check and writes it over arbitrary ABAP programs. SAP standard authorization is required; successful exploitation permits replacement of SAP standard code, with resulting data exposure, integrity loss, and service interruption.
