Host compromise via unsafe metadata deserialization
Published May 13, 2025 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Insecure deserialization in SAP NetWeaver Visual Composer VCFRAMEWORK 7.50 allows remote authenticated users to compromise the host system. The Metadata Uploader deserializes untrusted uploaded content without adequately validating the resulting objects. A privileged Visual Composer account and network access to the uploader are required; exploitation can expose or alter host data and interrupt service.
