Unauthorized shared-rule modification via parameter tampering
Published Jun 10, 2025 · Updated Jun 10, 2025
Missing authorization in SAP S/4HANA S4CORE 104 through 108 allows remote authenticated users to edit other users' shared processing rules. The Manage Processing Rules request handler trusts a user-controlled rule reference without verifying authorization for the referenced owner's shared rule. Basic application privileges suffice, and unauthorized changes can alter how bank-statement items are posted, cleared, or processed.
