CVE-2025-42969Network attack vector

Browser data read or modification via crafted URL

Published Jul 8, 2025 · Updated Jul 8, 2025

Cross-site scripting in SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP and ABAP Platform allows remote attackers to access browser data. Public SAP and CNA records identify a dynamically crafted URL that injects script into the victim's browser but do not disclose the affected endpoint, parameter, or faulty encoding operation. Exploitation requires remote attackers to persuade a victim to click the URL; the script can read or modify sensitive information within that browser context without interrupting the application.
