CVE-2025-42968Network attack vector

Information disclosure via missing RFC authorization check

Published Jul 8, 2025 · Updated Jul 8, 2025

Missing authorization in affected SAP NetWeaver releases allows remote authenticated users to read SAP system and OS information via RFC. A remote-enabled function module authenticates the caller but fails to verify authorization for its system-information operation. Any authenticated non-administrative account can retrieve only non-sensitive system and OS details; integrity and availability are unaffected.
