Browser data access and modification via crafted URL
Published Aug 12, 2025 · Updated Aug 12, 2025
Cross-site scripting in SAP NetWeaver Application Server for ABAP allows remote attackers to run script in a victim's browser via a crafted URL. SAP has not disclosed the affected endpoint or the server-side operation that fails to neutralize attacker-controlled URL content before placing it in a web response. Exploitation requires an unauthenticated victim to click the crafted link and permits limited reading and modification of data within that browser context, without interrupting the application.
