Service interruption via unbounded function-module loop
Published Sep 9, 2025 · Updated Sep 9, 2025
Unchecked loop input in SAP Business Planning and Consolidation allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service through a function call. A standard user can supply crafted parameters to an unnamed function module, which uses them to drive a loop without adequate bounds and consumes excessive resources. A valid standard-user account and network access to the callable module are required; exploitation makes the application unavailable without affecting data confidentiality or integrity.
