System compromise via authenticated arbitrary file upload
Published Sep 9, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in SAP NetWeaver AS Java Deploy Web Service J2EE-APPS 7.50 allows remote authenticated users to compromise the system. The available deployment service accepts an arbitrary attacker-supplied file and permits its later execution without adequate file-operation controls. A non-administrative account is sufficient; execution of the uploaded file gives control over system confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
