CVE-2025-42921Network attack vector

SSH session interception via missing host-key verification

Published Apr 17, 2025 · Updated Apr 17, 2025

Improper host verification in JetBrains Toolbox App before 2.6 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept SSH connections. The SSH plugin establishes a connection without verifying the remote server's host key, so a substituted endpoint is not detected. Exploitation requires user interaction with an SSH connection routed through an attacker-controlled network position and permits limited session data disclosure or modification.
