Unauthorized profile-parameter disclosure via missing authorization check
Published Sep 9, 2025 · Updated Sep 9, 2025
Missing authorization in SAP NetWeaver Application Server for ABAP allows remote authenticated users to read profile parameters via background processing. The background-processing path returns profile parameters without enforcing the required authorization, but SAP has not named the responsible program, transaction, or function. Reachability requires an authenticated account with background-processing access; the documented consequence is limited to reading profile parameters, with no integrity or availability impact.
